Day Trips

The Senior Center offers a variety of day trips each month ranging from shopping excursions to museum visits and presentations, theatre and musical performances, lunch or dinner at various restaurants throughout the area, sight-seeing tours, and outdoor activities in good weather. Trip suggestions are always welcome! A $5.00 non-refundable donation is required at the time of registration in order to ensure a seat on the van, as well as defraying transportation operating costs of the van.

Creative Activities

  • Art Group: Mondays from 9 am - noon. Anyone interested in painting is welcome to join. Bring your own supplies - stay for lunch!
  • Senior Book Club: Led by Rochester's Library Director, a different book will be discussed each month. Tuesdays at 10:15 am.
  • The Happy Hookers: Rug hooking group meets Tuesdays from 10 am - 2:30 pm.
  • Busy Bees Craft Group: The group meets on Thursdays from 9 am - 11:30 am.

The Rochester Council on Aging offers Conversational French I and II. It has been so successful that the group now meets at the Rochester Police Department!

Games & Recreational Activities

Bingo, Scrabble, Hand & Foot Card Games are just a few of the games offered. Come in, meet new people, revitalize old acquaintances, and have fun!
